FLAMENCO WORKS, INC.

OUR NEW BUILDING!

We are asking for your support to help activate and sustain our new building in Downtown, Albuquerque

OUR STORY: Flamenco Works was founded with the mission to empower youth to reach their fullest potential through Flamenco and to create visceral, cutting-edge Flamenco art through our resident company, Jesus Muñoz Flamenco. Five years ago, on March 1st, Flamenco Works began as small group with BIG dreams. Today, we are a growing community of kids, families, artists, and aficionados dedicated to Flamenco art and our community. We teach daily youth and adult classes as well as present world-class and emerging artists in our theater. Yet, we don't stop there. We seek ways to fight structural barriers that prohibit our youth from reaching their fullest potential as artists and people. For example, we set up college savings investment accounts for each student and actively find ways to fund them along with financial education.

NEW BUILDING: Flamenco Works was donated a building in the center of Downtown, Albuquerque. We have worked tirelessly to renovate the 100 year old building into a cultural center dedicated to Flamenco and our community. The 4,200 square feet includes three dance studios and a small theater. We know the impact that will immediately happen when we open. The streets of Downtown will be filled with music, dance, kids and families. The space will be an incredible resource for the arts community, especially Downtown and Barelas.

WHY WE NEED YOU: Repairing and restoring 4,200sq ft is no small feat. We have used all of our resources to get this building off the ground. Now, we need your support to ensure that we have the sustainability to activate the space to the fullest extent possible. Our classes are already bursting and we are excited to have our performances grow with guest artists from Spain and around the country. Additionally, we envision collaborations with neighboring schools, gallery openings and Flamenco master workshops with guest teachers throughout the year.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Make a donation and attend our GRAND OPENING! Our goal is to raise $35,000 by May 1st. $5, $50 or $500, you get us one step closer to ensuring the sustainability and activation of our new building, 506 Central Ave. Our grand opening will be held on February 18th from 4-7pm. Pre-registration is required through the botton below!
